bein nosey

so I was working today at the Mitchell Center for our local ABA Semi-Professional basketball team, the Southern Alabama Bounce. To be frank, they suck. But we have some fun at the games, though it is all, and by "all", I mean just that, at their expense. Why? ...cause they suck.

Well I did the floor cam tonight. Pretty fun. Get all up in the action. Well, I was zoomed all the way in when they start a drive in my direction. I was looking through the eyepiece whilst trying to zoom out and focus to get the play as it was coming closer. Right as I finally got the camera zoomed all the way out, it focuses on a big green jersey. Ends up it was a player of the opposing team barreling backwards towards me. Before I knew what was happening, I feel an elbow in my face, go flying back about 5-8 feet tripping over my cords and such, and hit my nose again (first time was included with that 'bow) with the eyepiece, which has jagged edges.

After recovering, it was pretty cool. My adrenaline was pumpin' and all, and everyone was like "OOOOO!!!!" So, it was pretty tight and all. Then I realize my left eye is tearing up horribly, making me realize also that my nose is throbbing. So I touch it to see if there is any blood. I was partially wrong. There was a lot of blood. The elbow caused internal bleeding which just mixed right in with the blood pouring out of the gash that the camera took out of the right side of my nose.

My nose is really sore. But, thankfully, I seriously doubt it's broke/fractured/cracked or any of that serious stuff. Just hurt. The first clip of this video makes me feel better, however...:

Stars

So I went across the street to a little park. There are no lights there. It's midnight here. Winter sky. Great combination.

It was, simply put, breathtaking. And saying that is truly finding the essence of what 'understatement' means. I haven't seen so many stars ever before.

When I look at the stars I see quite a few things. beauty. glory. awesomeness. God. Him being described by all those things. and, then, I see her.

It's pretty crazy stuff.

Amazing.

darkon

"everyone wants to be a hero...", yet all of these people aim to make that happen in a surreal, fantasy world. this is the trailer to an upcoming documentary about the sad sad lives that some people live. the least we can do is try to make up for the sadness by laughing at them. without further ado...

t-day

jeez, seems like this blog is all about traveling, eh? so, yea, i drove up to TN to see my family for t-day. we're celebrating (eating) tomorrow, however, due to my arrival being late in the evening. it was a decent drive, but exhaustive for some reason. yet i can't sleep. so i'm browsing blogger for other coolio blogs, lookin at some design studios and their portfolios, etc etc. i'm really gettin back into the whole design community again like i used to be. it's fun. i want to start jumpin into my creative side more often like i used to do. gonna have lots of opportunities, it seems, with the work that's potential right now with several various clients. anyways, hope everyones thanksgiving festivities were amazing at the least! good night to all, and, to all, a good night-
